In a context where gender issues are increasingly central to research and public debate, their impact on mental health has become a major concern. The annual symposium of the Department of Psychiatry at HUG will focus on the theme: “Psychiatry and Gender.”

Expertise from clinical psychiatry, social sciences, neuroscience, ethics, and public health will provide a multidisciplinary perspective to explore the influence of gender on clinical practice, diagnosis, and care pathways, and to outline avenues toward a more inclusive and equitable psychiatry.
